Who’d have thought after the debacle against Palace we’d win 10 of the next 11 games. Unbelievable stuff👍

Best since Saunders everything considered?
No doubt for me. It is a different era but Unai is at the centre of our football operations and at a level no previous manager was capable of delivering

He just needs to sign a world class right back in the summer and we a good to go for a crack at the title.  And hopefully the CL.

This club is insane, isn't it?

This is the club that went from the Third Division to champions of england, champions of Europe, and back into the second division in 15 years.

What a ride this is. What a job he's doing.

You should watch AVFC The Movie on YouTube, it is really rather good and sobering!

Is that the content we were trying to sell to Netflix?

No mate it’s just some Villa blogger who’s put it together.

In terms of achievements, yet to equal or surpass Saunders. In terms of preparations and tactics, better than Saunders. I appreciate it's a different era but I don't think Clough, Saunders, Ferguson, great managers though they were, would win much nowadays. It's also why I think Ferguson only won two (rather fortunate) Champions Leagues. When it came to the top level of European football he didn't have the necessary tactical nous, despite dominating domestically.

I'm never sure if I'm just being harsh on Ferguson, but I have had the exact same thought in regards to him and Europe.

And in terms of when Emery leaves, hopefully he doesn't do the same as Ferguson and leave a team of many players on the decline, which was blindingly obvious. I still have no idea how they won that last title. Hopefully it will be more like Klopp.

Should he ever leave we'll be able to pick from just about every manager in Europe.

Although that hasn't worked at a lot of clubs post their best managers.

I just hope whatever Emery has put in place can work without him being in the middle of it.

I don't see him leaving unless it all falls apart. Where we currently are there aren't many step up clubs. And even fewer where he'd have the control he has here. He's too obsessed for international management so that's out as well.

To me he's manager of the season if we finish top 5....and win the FA Cup (which will get him a statue outside the ground in about a decade's time).

Only Liverpool can say they've properly competed in three competitions this season so Slot will probably be given the award when it is handed out.

However there's a chance now we could actually surpass last season's 68 points which would be a ridiculous achievement.

Emery is that good I think if we had a season like Newcastle out of Europe and just preparing for league games we could actually finish 2nd.

That will be a little beyond us but amazing to have a manager who isn't fazed by run ins and knows exactly how to get the side finishing stronger as under MON we were always blowing out of our backsides from March as all the players from that squad are saying on podcasts now.

Our 2 longest unbeaten home runs in the PL era have been under Unai. Considering how little of that time he's been here I find that a bit bonkers.

Without a shadow of a doubt and I'm willing to fight anyone that suggests otherwise.

Its a big if as too many variables in terms of what players we can keep, what players might want to go, who we have to sell for finance purposes etc.

But IF we can keep the same level of squad we have now, with all the choices from the bench, with many players reaching their peak, IF we can overcome the psychological barrier of winning something for the first time in decades, by winning the cup. With this man in charge I think we can have a title tilt next year.
