2 have already been sold on, 2 haven't set foot on a pitch for us in an actual game, 1 is always injured, Ross Barkley and the other one needs to learn how to defend or become a winger. It's not great is it.

Philogene sold who was signed in the summer and Diego signed by the charlatan but not last summer so who else?

I’ve seen it mentioned plenty of times in here that we’d like to be a bit more forward thinking and signing potential like Brighton, which is what we are doing, now it seems we’re questioning this. A lot of the players signed are not for now, so patience is required.

Rogers, Malen, Maatsen and hopefully the centre back we’ll sign this window are players signed as players ready for the first team.

It’s a balancing act between FFP and building for the future, gone are the days we’ll sign five or six players who are going to put into the first team squad.

Frustrating but that’s how it is under the current rules and how they apply to us and Newcastle

I assume Archer but I think everyone knew he was going straight back out.

Good call, but yes one in reality and for the right price to bring in someone we have been tracking over previous windows

It's been poor in the last 2-3- games. Last night:
- Rogers was once again overplayed and should have gone off 10-15 minutes earlier than he did.
- Tielemans is also being overplayed, but I get that he is less easy to swap out with Barkly being unavailable.
- Buendia is not a wide-left player.
- Digne being shoved into the middle might have worked if Maatsen had held is end up, but he was beyond useless.
- Cash looked gassed with 20 minutes to go.

We're short of players but I don't feel currently that Emery is doing enough to make positive in-game changes.

I agree about youri being over played thats why it does not make sense to me why we are not trying to get dougie back on loan to help

Because we have Barkley, Onana, Kamara, Bogarde, Rogers, McGinn in the squad already.

Because PSR.

Because we're limited to the number of changes we can make to the Champions League squad.

Because maybe he doesn't want to come back.

In an ideal world I’d leave the new RB out of the CL squad, get Dougie back and a right-footed centre-half who can also be the left-sided partner for Konsa for now.

I love little Emi but if players other than Durán need to be moved out for the above to happen I’d accept that. If we sell Durán I’d want Cunha, followed by Jonathan David on a free in the summer.

As I said, ideal world. Just ruminating.

Luiz should be fresh, though maybe not match fit for the Premier League. I'd have him back, because he's been a big part in getting us where we are, but don't see it happening.

Also, his form after Christmas last year was pretty average, would being paired with Kamara again sort that? Potentially.

I was uptown last night watching Stewart Lee. Had arranged to go to a bar but my friend wanted to go home after the gig so I did too. Just been told Unai turned up in the bar I was going to.
