Unai, according to reports expected a drop in form and results, playing so many games takes its toll especially whan players get injured. He seem to know exactly what to expect it is very reassuring.
I would be more reassured if he was able to combat it.

Emery s game plan is to have us control the game by having the ball in defence slowing down the tempo and then build attacks through midfieldplayers or Digne/ Maatsen (right side is lame with Cash). Us leaking goals early on as we dont get that control early enough ish. I think the system need some better players to us being a top team like defenders that can handle a football at top level (need new RB for instance and I think Pau is the only one being good enough with the ball). Midfield is top notch already IMO. Then we need a right sided attacker that fit the system and also questions about a stable striker that scores goal after todays game.

I have just seen his post match interviews, and for the first time ever, I have no idea what he was trying to say.

He seemed incredibly stressed in the pre match interview I saw.

They weren't strange in the context of the game and the games coming up.

Strange in the sense we needed leadership on the pitch and particularly at the back yet Mings didn't come on.

Nothing wrong with the changes. Decisions are not only made tactically but based on fitness and how much physical load the players have undergone.
He was obviously not happy with the red card decision and he will never discuss tactics in depth and will never slate the players either. He’s way too experienced to give the press anything.

I often struggle with his phrases if not the jist of his points. But I'd rather he spoke in Spanish so he could express himself better.

This is the most critical of a decision I have ever seen or heard. And he’s usually accepting of decisions made by the ref or VAR. He strongly suggests the decision to red card Duran was very harsh, and VAR should have stepped in to make the right call. I agree. I don’t think there was legitimate intent at all. It was a yellow. Certainly not a red. I think we will appeal and win.

There are extenuating circumstances in yesterday’s game, with the red card, but we’ve played Chelsea, Newcastle, and Spurs away - all of whom we could and should be considering rivals - and we’ve lost all three, scoring 1 and shipping 10. We’ve lost other away games too, but those three are quite stark as you’d have picked them out as a competitors during the season. We really need to get a hell of a lot better, and just a lot more resilient in these games. We’re far too easy to brush aside, too often, this season.

Yes, quite. Losing away to Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Forest and Newcastle shows a trend of weakness in either attitude or tactical short coming or both. There is more than enough consistent evidence for Emery to do something about it. Unless the error sits with Unai himself.

I think it’s more attitude, too often we have seen those lapses in concentration like the first goal yesterday.
We seem just to easy to score against in all those games.

Unai is right here. For howe to say it wasnt a red, MOTD to also say it wasnt a red why did VAR not get involved? Its very  very strange. No one knkws if ut was deliberate so how you giving a red without var looking at it.

Agree with this. We win at chelsea and spursast season. Yet this season we have lost 4-1 ( lets be real a very shit spurs side) and 3-0 at chelsea in a easy victory for them.

We have to be hinest with ourselves and say against the better sides we simply have not been good enough.  Only vs city

Not good enough against the competitive  sides im afraid and again i blame that on a very poor transfer window
