Yeah, people do go way over the top sadly. It's not great at the minute (in the league anyway) as we all know but this 'what a crap 2024' is just miserable trolling nonsense.

Its not " misreable trolling nonsense"

Its factually true if you compare 2024 to 2023 results Can you stop saying its trolling when people are just expressing their opinion. If its different to yours thats not trolling.

Thanks 👍

Then try saying its a poor season instead of a poor 2024. And it is trolling if you keep saying it over and over again.

He's still got plenty of credit in the bank and then some.

I felt with our business in the summer we'd do well to finish 7th this year. Some of that may have been enforced with financial unfair play and no profit sustainability? ROFL hocus pocus. But even factoring in those constraints we missed the mark.

Emery at the very least deserves the chance to boost the squad in the January window - with a major focus on sorting the defence.

If we're still averaging two goals conceded per game by the end of the campaign chances are we'll be finishing circa 14th and I don't see NSWE tolerating that at all.

Might need to cash in on some big names while their value is still high and let the rebuild begin .

Yep. I would reluctantly look to cash in duran.  If someone bids 70m upwards id sell because we could really add at least 2 quality players with that.
I don’t get the mentality where someone looks at our transfer dealings over the past 12 months then says “yeah we should sell one of our players who actually looks decent so we can do a bit more of that!”

I dont think that was our best XI.

Stick Ramsey in, and it is. Well, if he'd started Bailey over Philogene it would have been.

I think that's Percy's cue...

His comments about Chelsea today might have sounded vaguely like O'Leary esque defeatist babble.

But it's right to say we would usually be second favourites going into away matches against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottingham - as we were last season as well.

Two wins (or even four from six) out of Brentford and Soton next and the picture looks quite different. If we have anything about us at all we should be expecting maximum points in those games.

I expect it will be an ugly spectacle against Brentford, but then it usually is against the modern day Wimbledon.  A win of any sorts on Wed gets us up and running again.

I find it difficult to understand that some people want him out. Yes, we have been playing poorly and recent results have been far from good but in two years we have gone from relegation candidates to being on the verge of qualifying for the knock-out stages of the Chamions League. I would expect dips in form and this doesn’t feel like the beginning of an almost decade long death spiral like the one we had after O'Neill left.

January isn't really a window for major structural overhauls , I agree Emery has credits in the bank . So did Eddie Howe .
I think it will be a case of getting to summer and some major decisions being made , eg. Watkins isn't getting any younger and i'd sell him, Duran isn't capable of leading the line  - sell , Torres cannot defend - sell etc etc

I would start with the players not the manager

So not our strongest line up then….

Does anyone genuinely want him out?

Kipp and Riss are edging towards this, it appears.
