Something isn't quite right. Not sure what it is. We look so different from 12 months ago. The whole mood is different.
Well for starters we had a midfield pairing as good as any in the league 12 months ago. That takes some replacing with what we had to do and could not do in the summer.

I don't disagree. I was a massive Luiz fan and felt Kamara was the key outfield player. I think we miss Diaby too.

Its devastating to see how bad we become in such a short space of time. A majority of 2024 has bewn shit for us.

It all started going wrong when we lost that game vs newcastle at home. Once the home record went we just rarely looked as good

I think we peaked in 2023, I don’t see us Getting back to that level.
We are no where near the level of performances we achieved then.
We are still a good team and on our  day could probably beat anyone but we are inconsistent and vulnerable.
The summer weakened us and I am not sure how he can reverse that.

Part of me starting to think we should have just said stuff the FFP and take the 10 point fine. We probably would have won more games than the 10 points lost. At least we would still be decent. 😂

2023 was a great year

2024 a shit year

Roll on 2025

I got to watch my side in a European semi final, watch us in the Champions League for the first time, enjoy probably the best result and atmosphere I'll ever exprience at Villa Park. I saw a rare win in the FA Cup. I saw us demolish Arsenal away with the best limbs of the season.

We're in a really annoyingly poor run. 2024 hasn't been shit at all.

Bournemouth home last season was a real highlight for me. Post Lille high, incredible and deserved reception for the world's no. 1 then we play them off the park in the sun second half.

I think I'd take a few shit years when we finish fourth and beat Bayern Munich and Ajax at home.

Why does it have to be a few shit years though? The messages from the club and the way hecks ripping us off with Cl prices the club is alluding to not being here  to make the numbers.

I cant remember  if it was Monchi damien or heck that said we are dont just want to play in CL we want to stay playing CL.

Afew years of being shit probably means a lot of years of being shit as our better players  will probably want to move to CL playing clubs

Id rather have more seasons like last year personally!

Aston Villa have conceded more goals from fast breaks this season than any other team in the Premier League (5).

Yeah there has been a few good moments i cant deny that but as a whole i would say 2023 was better than 2024 as our general league form has been poor for the whole of 2024.

2023 we beat spurs, city chelsea arsenal and city
