Well fuck me sideways, I'd never have known that otherwise, thanks.

Yes it wasn't much discussed here regards his nomination but thought highlight.
Similarly I brought the news on Watkins for player of the month.
In these instances it's good having recognition even if not winning award out right.

Thanks for bringing us the news

The winner is chosen by a combination of an online public vote, which contributes to 10% of the final tally, and a panel of experts. I do t know exactly criteria but 90% of the vote is made up of ex player pundits and ex referees including likes of Carragher, Shearer and Rio Ferdinand.

SSN have just had an interview with him and contributions about him from other pundits. Couldn't hear too much of it as looking after some of my grandchildren, and they're not exactly quiet.

As long as they grow to be demanding of themselves in their own way, they'll be fine.

Yep.

They need to impose our idea in the moment.

Emery is just class. Brilliant coach/man manager/tactical genius/motivator. As SJM said tonight, you look at the bench and it's frightening...

Needs an original song. I'll get to work on one.

I hope he loves us as much as we love him.

Imagine meeting him. I'd be overwhelmed.

I don't care what he does and all that he has done, if he doesn't win the FA cup whilst he's here he's dead to me. An abject failure. (stands there arms folded, not listening)

I suspect Unal Emery has a reputation or aura in Europe that's not fully appreciated in England, even by Villa fans. I think we'll get respect from European clubs that we might not get at home.

What would be the best spot for his statue, do you think?
