It's got the Saunders invincibility feel about it. We expect to win games now instead of fearing the worst.
It's going to take a very good team to take points off us at VP under Emery this season.

0-3 to Luton incoming! ;)

I'd be bringing in the Diego Carlos one man six yard box exclusion zone for the Luton game, extinguish their one avenue of attack.

I am anxious he will leave one day 😳

When he's in his late 70's with several CL wins to his name we should give him a reduced hours contract.

Just goes to show. Teams will spend £100m on a single player and not bat an eyelid. Bring a quality manager in at a fraction of the price and he changes the whole perspective. Unai has totally shown that.  So many players today are analysed on their stats but how many managers are ? Long live Unai.   VTID

The Monday Night Club on R5 Live just spent half an hour discussing Emery's Villa. It's well worth a listen.

Warning : Contains Micah Richards guffawing.

It's funny, a couple of weeks ago people were talking about us but it felt like lip service, like they weren't really paying attention. But this week it feels like people have actually been paying attention. I saw someone doing predictions for the games this weekend and they said Villa should beat West Ham but you don't know which side will turn up, they could get hammered or be hammered. Hopefully we've turned the corner on that one, but it at least felt like someone who'd watched a couple of our games.

My view is he’s in the top 3 managers in the world, and I would not trade him for anyone.

After missing a penalty in the first 10 minutes. And lots of rain.

Their goals at Forest at the weekend were peak Wimbledon.

Over 33 years later and I still wince at the thought of that Wimbledon game. I’d convinced myself we could do it (win the league) and when Platt stepped up to take the penalty it like further confirmation. Oh whoa is me.

Everything does feel so surreal at the moment and Ive still got villatitis, in that I expect Luton to potentially do us 1-0. Must get out of this mindset.

I said something similar a while back, that I always knew a manager was important but since he has came in I realise how important. More so than the players in some ways. We especially have spent loads on players in the past and then hired clueless people like Sherwood, Garde and, Di Matteo and Gerrard to coach them. It's ludicrous. Hopefully we never make that mistake again.

Agree with the sentiment, and that's what Guillem Balagué seemed to be hinting at on R5 when asked if Emery was 'elite' manager. He also mentioned an interesting Emery anecdote involving Arteta.
