Except just like Wolves, we hardly ever beat West Ham.

I’d like to think when our incredible home league winning run comes to an end, it won’t be to bloody West Ham. We really owe them one.

Just listened to Stephen Warnock on the radio. He rates Emery as an unbelievable coach after visiting our training sessions in America. It’s nice to listen to something positive about our club.
He also went on to add the berating of him whilst at Arsenal was unfair and wrong.
You won’t hear that criticism of a London national radio so well done to him for that.  We really do have a superb coach. I enjoy watching this team as much as any since Saunders.

England are practically unassailable. Miles ahead of Spain. It would be practically impossible for England to be overtook.

It's pronounced overtaken.

It's done annually anyway so previous seasons are irrelevant. Villa are currently 122nd this season. Although we have the same points as a lot of other sides.

I don't think Ads knew that. He's notoriously ignorant.

Yeah it's definitely annually, I remember having a good look in to it earlier in the summer. We actually have to begrudgingly sort of want English teams to do well* in Europe for there to be a 5th place getting CL next season.

*Fuck that, there could be a billion different universes in the multiverse but there will never be one where I wish success on the Saudis.

Same. Or...well, any of the others. We'll just have to finish top four, I guess.

Having said that, I don't give a toss about us playing in the CL either.

I'm not sure why I bother, to be honest.

That shitty new format for the CL applies to all European competitions next season. So whichever competition we end up in next season (and hopefully we will end up in one of them at least), we'll have to endure that UEFA imposed farce. I still haven't found a single person who thinks it's a good system by the way.

8 points better off after 8 games than we were last season. I haven’t really studied the fixtures but fair to say they’re harder this time?

Edit: not too much difference, with Arsenal away and Man City at home in last season’s first 8.
