The defensive organisation Emery has put in from the shambles we were without the ball under Gerrard is just unbelievable. Constantly catching players offside.
You see how poor we are too when we deviate from his tactics and go long, as we did in the second half. Likes of Young (who to be fair seemed shattered) and even Martinez will be getting pelters from him. I'd love to know how many times we retained possession from those punts.

He's doing ok so far.

At this rate he may yet get Aftab's seal of approval. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65394764

He also cost Ollie and Tyrone their world cup spots.

How many players has he used since taking over?
I want the answer to be “Just Fourteen!!”

Quote from: Crouchy on BBC
"I think they're well equipped for Europe," said former Villa striker Peter Crouch.

"The biggest asset is their manager, who always does well with the underdog and Aston Villa could potentially be that.

"There are teams who wouldn't want to play against Villa - I wouldn't bet against them now."

It's like going from Del Boy's clapped out old 3-wheeler to a Bugatti Chiron.

The man is a tactical genius. Even when we struggle attacking wise, the defensive side of the game is good to watch.

Results are the first second and third most important thing.
But I really like that our manager is a gentleman, who works hard and deserves success.

In stark contrast to Klopp Arteta and Guardiola who are all passive aggressive crybabies.

Let's travel back in time to the opening day of the season when we lost 2-0 at Bournemouth. Imagine being told that day that we had a squad capable of finishing in the top four (and possibly winning the title) if we could only go and get Unai Emery in to manage them?

Manager of the season.
