I’ve a feeling he will be, mate.
He came to us for a reason, and as long as he’s given the support he will stay.

It's April, and we're looking as fit and strong as ever. That in itself is impressive for us and a testament to the more energy-efficiency style we play under Emery.

38 points from 18 games.

That matches our total for 2011/12, 2013/14, 2014/15

Obviously beats 2015/16, also beats 2019/20

Insane statistic.

And probably a weaker squad than we had under MON, by April they were all breathing out of their arseholes and throwing away 2-goal leads against the likes of Stoke for god's sake.

That's what decent coaching and game-management gets you.

And because a man is only as good as his ability to accept when he is wrong, I have to admit, my concern about playing out from the back with players that cant play out from the back has been proven to be completely & totally wrong, wrong, wrong.

I eat a rather large slice of humble pie with a side salad of humility.

Happily...

What Emery has done with that back four, along with the protection in front of it, to make us a possession based passing out from the back style team has been extraordinary.

I genuinely did not think we could do it, but again, I was wrong, wrong, wrong.

I now have 100% trust in the new gaffer going forward.

UTV! 😁

He's doing it without Cash, Kamara, Coutinho and Bailey aswell. Whoever he has available he just throws teams together and gets them to perform. Magician!

Just said in his post match interview. We didn’t concede a corner to a team that’s had the most corners all season. That’s some fucking planning and discipline from the team

I just want to stroke his hair and tell him he is the most beautiful person in the world.
In my day he'd have got a quick handshake, told not to get too full of himself, and told to make sure they won 4-0 next week. Or else.

Was well impressed with Rio Ferdinand praise for Unai, liked his comment that with Moreno (an Emery signing), the board/owners should back him to the hilt with whomever he identifies next.

We all know the board/owners will definitely do so.

Pundits are starting to realise that he's an exceptional coach, and from Unai's comments and general demeanor, although I'm sure there will be offers from top Clubs worldwide, I just cannot see him leaving until he's achieved whatever he promised the board/owners when he agreed to join us.

Exciting times ahead, at last.
