i wish they wouldn’t 😳

We have to stop being such fucking pansies. Embrace this. Be fucking bold and proud. What Emery is doing isn’t some accident. It’s not one player or an easily identifiable plan that will ultimately fall apart that is driving things. It is an entire group of players and coaches in unison working towards a committed goal. This is the future. That’s not me being arrogant or complacent. We will lose games. But it won’t be because the manager hasn’t prepared the team or the players didn’t listen. The players we have now and will have will have bought into this also. It’s a togetherness that we’ve not seen at the club in along while. And I include Dean Smith’s time because we all now have entirely dependent it was all on Jack. And not even the most rose tinted could claim to be the tactician Emery is.

So enjoy it. Let it blanket you in warmth knowing every game we will always try to find a way to win. And even if we don’t it won’t be because we didn’t put the effort in or planning. So let the media notice. I want others to be worried about us for once. It’s about time we put our insecurities into the past and live out the next chapter with happiness. We fucking deserve it.
Hahaha…admire your adrenaline running crazy but we are Aston Villa football club, we need to set standards a little higher than a positive run of handful games. This has happened previously under Gregory and O’Neill so forgive me if I don’t get excited till we are comfortably in the to six and making a good fist of trying to win cups. I refuse to be small time just because it’s been hard for the last 10 years.

Bigger picture. Its not just the results that have improved, almost everything around the club has improved. The women's team, the redevelopment plans, finally having a genuine world class manager at the helm, serious owners, and a togetherness with fans rarely match in many a year. We have always been a class above - top 10 this season would be a fantastic result and only the most myopic fan would argue with that given all other considerations in play in November.

Moreno getting an earful. Every single detail is critical.

This is just wonderful to watch. The intensity. The passion. How can anyone not love him. Go on Unai.

To be fair Gerrard was still learning English so give him a break ;)

In reply to "so refreshing to see the constant instructions he gives out…rather then Gerrard slumped in his chair😒."

Yes but Gerrard used to look em in the eye during the week after sitting them down. Now that’s proper management….like.

Probably can't wait until he swaps halves.

Fuck me this guy doesn't accept half-arsing does he? A mediocre-to-average performance but there was no way we weren't winning, by sheer stubbornness if nothing else.

Sixth in the league, five wins in a row, good God in heaven.

Guess it wasn't the players that weren't good enough after all.

I doubted a lot of these players. Shows how bad that management/coaching setup must have been. They're better than I believed them to have been.

He's got us playing so strategic now. Not always exciting but you can see when players are picking up the ball they're constantly looking around to see how is where and keeping the ball and making sure our shape is consistent.

Probably closest in recent times we've come close is how we generally played in 20/21 when we were very solid at the back for most of the season and had a matchwinner in final third. Now overall it's a real team effort.

I'd really like to see what kind of impact Carlos could have on our ability to play out from the back. Hopefully we get a chance to see if before the end of the season.

I had to listen to that first sentence a few times before I fully understood it. I thought he said we were technically shit 🤣

Since conceding 11 goals in 3 games, we have only conceded 2 goals in 7. That’s pretty remarkable to have made that kind of adjustment tactically and for the players to have all learned and adapted.

I love that he's never satisfied post match. Look at Bruce giving it the big one about himself after we beat Rotherham for our first win in 6, Sherwood "we win", Gerrard smirking smugly at Everton fans, for examples. With Emery it's always feels his focus is on improving the team, seeing where it wasn't going how he wanted and what the team, and him, need to do to be better. It's relentless with him.
