I really wish these journos would stick to praising Newcastle and crying buckets about Spurs. Leave us alone you fucktards. We know what we are!

i wish they wouldn’t 😳

We have to stop being such fucking pansies. Embrace this. Be fucking bold and proud. What Emery is doing isn’t some accident. It’s not one player or an easily identifiable plan that will ultimately fall apart that is driving things. It is an entire group of players and coaches in unison working towards a committed goal. This is the future. That’s not me being arrogant or complacent. We will lose games. But it won’t be because the manager hasn’t prepared the team or the players didn’t listen. The players we have now and will have will have bought into this also. It’s a togetherness that we’ve not seen at the club in along while. And I include Dean Smith’s time because we all know how entirely dependent it was all on Jack. And not even the most rose tinted could claim to be the tactician Emery is.

So enjoy it. Let it blanket you in warmth knowing every game we will always try to find a way to win. And even if we don’t it won’t be because we didn’t put the effort in or planning. So let the media notice. I want others to be worried about us for once. It’s about time we put our insecurities into the past and live out the next chapter with happiness. We fucking deserve it.

Blimey, today feels like the first day of spring, with every single football journo all seemingly just noticing the job Unai has done, all at once.

I thought that was 'Tit Monday' but it's probably been banned now.

Good points Totonto.
The fact that we are without Kamara, Cash, Coutinho, Carlos, all of whom could be considered key or potentially key players, have not overly affected the forward momentum and the recognisable style that the team has adopted (apart from poor old Ash being skinned by (Barnes onTuesday - I wonder if cash would have caught him). When this lot are back fit and challenging, who knows what could happen.

It will be interesting to see what decisions he makes with regards to our players currently out on loan.

Hahaha…admire your adrenaline running crazy but we are Aston Villa football club, we need to set standards a little higher than a positive run of handful games. This has happened previously under Gregory and O’Neill so forgive me if I don’t get excited till we are comfortably in the to six and making a good fist of trying to win cups. I refuse to be small time just because it’s been hard for the last 10 years.

The other point of what Emery has done is stopped everyone worrying about how we line up in midfield. 4231, 433, 451, 442, 4222. Everything between the defence and Ollie up front is so interchangeable, it doesn't seem to matter how it looks on paper.

And then the classic 622 when holding out a lead, or even 353 when Moreno pushes on.

Proper tactician.

(Cue defeat tomorrow with horrible static performance)

I know we complain about the standard of refereeing, but letting 12 players on the pitch is taking the piss. Still if it's in our favour fuck the PGMOL or whatever they're called.

Someone put together an edit of all of our wins under Emery. For all of his faults, you can see why he likes to pick Leon, his (and Buendia's) involvement in our goals is undeniable.

Buendia, yes. Bailey, where are you seeing that? One assist v Bournemouth since the Leeds match, and barely involved in anything else that I can see.

I’m not sure even Emery could turn around poor old Wesley.

Very enjoyable that

One thing that came over very clear is that the most important player we have at the club is the worlds number one
