How many times during the seemingly endless shit performances and results did we see Gerrard slumped motionless in the dugout, and then afterwards trotting out shit like needing some magic from players. Compare that with how a real manager is with Emery.

Gerrard’s first reaction was always to protect his own arse.

He was a toxic wanker, thank fuck he’s gone.

How many wins before the international break then?

I'll go with three, scrapping out our usual win at Goodison and then getting the home form back and running with comfortable wins v Palace and Bournemouth. Would like a draw v West Ham aswell just to break this hex they have over us.

38 points by international break and season becomes much more interesting again.

Ironically with all this Gerrard talk again at this point last year he went out and got us to beat Brighton, Southampton and Leeds by a combined score of 9-0. It was just a mirage but we need to get back to winning some games and at least attempting to establish ourselves in top 10 rather than just meekly accepting the season is over with still 15 games to go.

The foundations for Emery are being built and as well as improving current players in the side, I would think over a period of next 3 summer windowsand progressive recruitment Emery Villa will be complete and pushing at the top in his fourth season and a cup win by 2027.

Emery knows what he's doing. His post match comments were telling. After each match he gives an analysis of what went right and wrong. Gerrard used to just trot out the same inanities week after week.

Anyway
Is Martinez in a bit of a post World Cup dip?
Has Emery fallen out with him?
Is Emi angling for a move?
Have we got a plan in place if that happens - I reckon we have.

Pretty obvious that Unai was annoyed about some players not following his instructions and tactical plans.

More training ground work required?

By the end of the season Emery will know which of the players are technically proficient, fit the system he wants to play AND most importantly are prepared/able to "do as they're told".

Those that don't tick these boxes will be moved out and replaced.

Sawiris was livid with the perfornance at Fulham and fired Gerrard on the spot. He then hired Unai and backs him 100%.
Emery has shown in previous jobs that he knows what he's doing and has the medals to prove it.
That's why he's here.

We can be certain that Emery will be supported financially in the next transfer window. If Martinez is sold then that'll be another £50m+ in the transfer kitty.

One thing for sure - despite the carping from some sections of supporters - Emery will be given plenty of time.

think it's more to do with slight little cockups like that short corner that fans here are pee off and not getting out quickly enough for arsenal third goal, stopping that shot, you are probably looking at  a good draw and saying well done against one of the best of two sides in the league

There is a lot of frustration that we have missed a golden opportunity in the last 3 games, but 3 wins in the next 3 will see everything in a better light again.

Not sure the last 3 games were that much of a golden opportunity - 4 points would have been a good return.

Adama Traore ha ha. Jesus Mary.

I don't think being able to speak Spanish is going to be amongst the highest criteria.

We need players who can keep hold of the ball a bit better. I would humbly suggest that probably excludes Adama Traore, who isn't much good at anything other than oiling up his pecs, and once or twice a game running in a straight line quite fast.

How much is this job paying? I'd happily list off Spanish players for £100k pa
