Buendia gives the ball away far too often. And it’s every game.
A top class number 10 doesn’t do that.

Yeah, he reminds me of Merson. Looks brilliant vs lower teams but nowhere near as effective against top teams.

Managers seem to be obsessed with putting players like that in wide positions

Same with Grealish when we had him, he was shipped out to the left and he’s still there, but he is far better through the middle in a Luka Modrić type roll

It worked with Grealish though because he tended to drag players out with him leaving gaps for others.

At half-time, I would have put Buendia through the middle and moved Bailey to the left.

Think he played 442 to counter their full backs but I prefer the 4231 and agree that Emi B would have been better in the middle.

Yep and he’s also a fantastic player, but I still think his best position is central
For me, he looks wasted playing where he is for Man City and England

I prefer 4231 too and it's suited us when we've used it. Emery used it at Arsenal and favoured 442 at Villareal with a focus on the one side and the other 3 coming narrow.

Bailey would have also tested TTA's defensive side of his game too.

We were 235 in possession yesterday with the full backs pushed on with a flat front 5.

We were chasing the game from about 5 minutes though.

It was for more than 5 minutes. I spotted it just after we scored and it continued for the rest of the game.

Even though the result ultimately went against us, we played some lovely build up football even if the finishing left a lot to be desired. Our central defenders need upgrading. Immediately

I used to rate Konsa, but he’s just dropped off a cliff. I think he’s the main problem, I’ll be interested to see if Mings looks better next to DC.

Don't know what Konsa was thinking when he hoofed the ball into the air and put Nunez through. Mings should have done better for their third.

One of those moments were by it was that shit, that I couldn't bring myself to be angry. I was just living in the moment and fully appreciative that I'd witnessed something so utterly beautiful that it will be mentioned on here for years to come.

McGinn’s attempt at the other end was just as comical.

4 league games, 9 points and we've played the sides currently 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th.
