I remember thinking Isiah Osbourne was going to be the next big thing.

I remember thinking the same when he floated that lovely ball onto Chris Sutton's head to score at Everton.

Didn't he end up in prison or something?

Far, far worse. He ended up in Walsall.

Via a spell at Hibs wasn’t it?

No, he got arrested (something to do with a car I think) but it never went to court. I seem to recall him giving it as one of the reasons he struggled in his last year or so with us though.

Fair enough.

Funnily enough I saw him as a sub for Nuneaton playing at Stratford town a few weeks ago   One of those," where do I recognise you from?"

I can tell you one thing about Emery: he likes to use his entire squad. Rotations are not an issue. He's all about the collective and will undoubtedly rotate. That's something he's always done. Of course, his previous clubs had European matches as well. With the 5 subs and everything, he'll involve the entire squad as much as he feels necessary.

I would predict changes from the match on Sunday and that the 11 that starts tonight versus Man Utd will not be the same. And it will again be different 11 versus Brighton.

With that he puts trust into the players that come in and builds a whole togetherness attitude. Ones who don't fit will be moved on.
Its brilliant managing.

Well, it's an 8 p.m. kickoff which is a later one and I'm hoping Unai Emery will maybe not do the good evening introduction because all I've heard this morning from non-Villa fans is that they can't wait for tonight's interviews with him just to hear him say it . - that whole good evening (with a b instead of v)

I think Gerrrad consciously dropped his Yeah, Course as it was paradoy and made exaggerating fun of.

I've seen some really bad footage of impressionist comic trying to do Emery the same guy who is apparently from Liverpool does a good Gerrard unsurprisingly but has no idea with the Emery and its just some bad attempts at an Englishman during what he thinks a Spainish European accent sounds like. Awful

I agree And I think he's wise enough to handle it.
Just I can't stand those fools who insist on such mockery.

None of them will be taking the piss when we start to march up that league and knock on the door of the scum 6 over the next few years.

I really think the club will back Emery on a big scale this window as well
