Watching the 'Emery-Cam' video he looks like he's conducting an orchestra, what a fantastic sight. Last week we saw in the training video him stopping a move and telling JJ where he should be on the pitch, is it any coincidence that yesterday he was able to find so much space?

Right from kick off we were so composed on the ball. There were at least 18 passes in the build up to the goal involving nine players, when was the last time we pulled off something like that? Everyone knew their jobs and looked comfortable doing them, very refreshing.

Mings said after the game the players shouldn't get carried away as 'they've been here before' presumably referencing Gerrard coming in and winning 4, and Danks going 4-0 then 0-4. That is fair and it is good to be cautious. However I'm finding it hard not to get excited, this just feels different. There is a sense that if we come up against different challenges away from home, or teams parking the bus at Villa Park, he will find a way to set us up differently to get the result.

I'm trying to be cautious as well, because we've followed up good home performances by being absolutely gash away a few times now. But this feels different somehow.

We beat their press in exactly the same way about 4 or 5 times - that was clearly part pf the plan and also took the pressure off the panic at the back we sometimes have.

I'll never forget what it was like in Brum when they won their first title in 20 odd years in '93. Absolutely every pub in the city seemed to be rammed with them. They are the lowest of the low by some distance, I've got miles more respect for SHA fans than those wankers, although I imagine there's probably a fair amount of overlap in the two camps.

Late 80/early 90s in schools in East Birmingham you'd see loads of little pricks with Liverpool and Man U shirts who suddenly started wearing a pair of bloocks round their neck as Francis took over as manager and they all thouht they might see their actual club become relevant.

I hate them (and their fans) more than I've ever done the lot from Small Heath.

Can we just get back to talking about how absolutely f**king ace Unai is?

It's early days, but sod it I am going to get carried away.  Been here less than a week and it's already clear that he understands this group of players better than Gerrard ever did - he is the real deal.  After a wasted 12 months we finally seem to have found our way again.

I've always said we have a good squad, and the right manager will get a tune out of them.  Looking at the players yesterday they already look like they have bought into it, and the competition from now on is going to be fierce.  In some ways it is a pity that we are going to have the break for the World Cup as I think we could easily go on a good run now, but then on the other hand having a month for him to really get to grips with the squad and I can see us absolutely flying after Christmas.  If we can put these twats away again on Thursday night then who knows, maybe he will get that trophy he talked about at the first time of asking.

The image of Sanson on the sidelines with a beaming smile was, for me, the most important part of yesterday, to have a guy who's had so many problems at the club just happy to enjoy the performance of his teammates is a massive turnaround. I'm all for competition in the squad but there needs to be friendliness and respect in it, and that wasn't there under Gerrard, which is why so many players looked fed up all the time.

Nailed on Gary Lineker’s opening line tonight will be ‘Good Ebening’ the big eared twat.

I don’t think he’ll say it again after getting ratiod the way he was when he tweeted it.

A real hero of mine as a kid, banging in all them World Cup goals etc. Such a disappointment now that the bloke is such a fucking arse hole.

I like him. Very out of character for him to be lined up with all the xenophobes who usually hate him.

As has been mentioned, the Unai Emery camera video was a great idea. It's almost as if he's taking a training session during the game. Great insight into how the man conducts himself. And I agree with how the whole squad were beaming and fist bumping after the goals. he includes them all and they respond with great 'togetherness', most notably Kamara and Sanson, out of their seats and chatting away in French to each other (I assume). I'm sure we're going to love this guy, even if we stumble along the way.

It's exactly like he's taking a training session that just happens to be a Premier League match. He's so involved in everything.

As cautious and habitually pessimistic as I am, as we all are as Villa fans, this does feel a bit different to normal. Let's hope it still does at the end of the season.

When we lose games it certainly won't be through the lack of effort, or having not planned or prepared ourselves, or having a coherent game plan. I can live with that.

When we lose games it will be because of the players and not this manager.
He's actually better than Pochettino if you compare records
So it's most pleasing we have Emery as our manager.

I've just been reading his Twitter. He posts in Spanish, Basque, Catalan, English, and probably French if you go back to when he was at the Qatar Wankers Germain.

Good evening my fucking arsehole!
