It just feels right, doesn't it? There'll be bumps along the way, but it feels like we have the best chance of progressing now.

I watched a post match interview with Unai. According to him our players have been underperforming AND are (on todays showing) STILL underperforming. A lot of work to do to get consistency, regularity etc according to him. So we will get better than today on a consistent basis then. Sounds promising.

Whoever would have thought that it was Steven Gerrard holding us back and not the players. We may not be a top 4 squad, but we're a damn sight better than the shit served up under him most games since Boxing Day.

7 goals in the first 11 games, 7 in the 3 since he fucked off.

What a way to start. I mean, incredible. Start your villa management career by ending the 27 year hoodoo that lot have over us?
Has there been a better start to a villa managerial career?
The closest I can remember was O Neill's first game where we were very unlucky not to beat Arsenal in their first Emirates match. We've certainly outdone that.
Before that, Gregory 2-1 against Liverpool. Collymore scoring 2

I haven’t watched MOTD or MOTD 2 in years other than to FFWD it to the Villa game and then delete it. Never watch or listen to the pundits post game.

For anyone who wasn't at Everton in 1990.
