Doubt it. Doesn't get his work permit til Monday so don't think he'd want to risk being at the game. If he was, hope the ink was dry on the contract first.

He is quoted as saying he would not attend.

He’s probably already resigned.

Yesterday sums up villa since 2010. Look to have turned a corner, look to have something to believe in and then the players go out and humiliate us.

They didn’t humiliate us. We played ok for 45 but the better team (right now) won at a canter in the 2nd half. We fired the last fella for a reason.

Unai is here. Give him time. He will be backed in the transfer market. And we will see improvement Jan onwards.

Your right, we did ok first half but it’s that habit of shooting ourselves in the foot defensively that worries me. It’s been ongoing since we came back up apart from lockdown when we suddenly discovered how to defend as a team. For me, it’s partially down to our back 4 and partially down to having a physically weak midfield who can’t keep the ball or defend. Some just aren’t good enough and some will hopefully improve but we are desperate for some muscle in the centre of midfield and have been for 3 seasons now.

It could have been 7 or 8 in the 2nd half, so I'd say that's quite embarrassing.

Yeah, we gave up in the second half and it did become a bit humiliating in the end.  They looked like they were going to score every time they came forward and we offered very little resistance.

You can see why Gerrard was after Tarkowski in the summer. You need players who don't throw the towel in once they're under the cosh.

It happens all too often aswell, I'm certain we're amongst the worst clubs for points won from losing positions over the past few seasons.

Yeah, losing 4-0 to Newcastle will never not be embarrassing

Emery has a massive job with these players.

They're soft as shit.
