And then they get the sack for playing Bruceball. They need to find some courage from somewhere.

We had both "didn't give him a chance" barrels levelled at us when we binned Sherwood. What's he done since?

Watching Unai take training is a thing of beauty. It is something I feel that we have been missing for quite some time. His energy, attention to detail and direct involvement with the players is a welcome change.

He's present, he's encouraging, he's demanding, he's an intellectual - am I in love?

Still pinching myself that we got him. This isn't the usual. This is a proper appointment

Think that is a bit too much of a sweeping statement to be fair.  Think the age of the dictatorial manager running ta club has now long gone and off field issues with players are likely to cause the downfall of managers as anything.  Honestly think the majority of Premier and Football League fans just want to see their sides win and how they do it is often an afterthought.

Evening everyone, hope you’re doing well. I’ve just done a short video detailing why Unai Emery is the perfect manager for Aston Villa at this moment in time for those interested. I’d love to hear your thoughts and am happy to answer any questions you may have! Cheers and have a great weekend!

Any chance you might one day say something on here that that isn't a plug for your channel? Or perhaps have the courtesy to ask if we mind you using us for publicity?

Reading about some of his tactics, he wants the centre halves to take the ball forward towards our midfield, and then pass it to a midfield player - not just launch it down the field

I would imagine that quite a few of our players are going to find life as a footballer under Emery totally different to what they have been used to currently, with his demands on fitness, style of play and long hours studying the opposition.

It is going to be interesting to see what happens in January with regards to players being brought into the club.

Only 2 coaches? Who's going to fill the other 18 seats on the bench?
