The thing with arsenal was the act he followed was Wenger, and for their fans pretty much anything less than an immediate return to their all-conquering glory days would be a let down. He'll have a bit more leeway with us as we'll be pleased for a least a short while with anything that's not relentless shit.

Indeed

That was never Mr. Polito's was it??

Yeah though. In Italy they call getting ripped off 'having your feathers plucked', and in Naples it'll happen for everything - except pizza, which is sacred.

No, Carmelos.
I passed Politos but there were a few chaps waiting and only two barbers so I kept walking.

I'll stick to the Turkish barbers in North London next time.

Fun fact: the red and white colours on the pole you see outside barbers' symbolise blood and teeth, because while doctors used to prescribe bloodletting as a medical treatment until the 19th century, it was typically barbers who actually performed it. And they also did a good line in amateur dental surgery.

I don't put value into anything coming out of that club. The "supporters" are an absolute joke. So much so, that they gladly broadcast their ridiculous grievances at the time so that the entire country could laugh at them. It didn't matter if Santa Claus came in to turn around their fortunes, they were out for blood.

To be fair to them, Pépé was anything but a saint when he was there.

Since joining Arsenal Pépé has stunk.

Unai is on record as stating he never wanted to sign Pepe, it was a board signing. He wanted Zaha.

We chatted amiably about Italia and then the bugger charged me £25 for his twenty minute work with a thinning scissors and a quick beard trim.

I've very thick hair as well but a decent barber shouldn't really be using a thinning scissors.

Well if you want to keep the length but get rid of some of the weight, it can be useful.

Yeah, Mom used them for that when I was younger but when I asked for them in the Merchant Barber in Dublin they looked askance at me. Experienced similar responses to requests elsewhere so just keep it short now with the odd bit of pomade.

For the Love of Paul McGrath podcast.

Interview with Graham  Hunter who is an expert on La Liga which comes across clearly.

What he has to say about Emery is informative, interesting and above all, very encouraging.

Give it a listen - you won't be disappointed

Interesting. Was Benitez's assistant manager at Valencia & Liverpool, so seen a few Champions League finals. Currently managing in the top division of the Portuguese league.

I don't know whether to read the article now I'm confused. SV describes Graham Hunter as an expert on La Liga now you describe him as a spoofer. It's a conundrum so it is.
