The return of Pires.
I hope he is not jogging over or it'll be May before he arrives at the ground.

I'm talking shite anyway, he never won the Champions League. I seem to have invented an entire Barcelona career for him that never existed.

Is the assistant definitely a CL winner from 97?
Reidle got PL playing experience but that was last century.

Theres an interview with Guilem  Balague on the Claret and Blue podcast.

He knows Emery very well and is incredibly complimentary about him - it's well worth a listen.

One nugget is the assistant manager is an exciting name, a CL winner who knows the PL.  Intreagued to know who this will be?

Dortmund, 1997.

Oh, no.

Paul Lambert?

Bends the definition of an ‘exciting’ name! ( I haven’t listened )

Reckon I’ve got a contender, Pepe Reina. With him at Villarreal recently, ticks all the other boxes?

Hope not, goalies don't make good coaches.

I wonder under what criteria he's describing the assistant as exciting? I don't really care if it's a big name or not, onyl if they're well-respected as a coach.

I believe the mention of Dortmund, 1997 was just Dave W being mischievous.
