One nugget is the assistant manager is an exciting name, a CL winner who knows the PL.  Intreagued to know who this will be?
Oh no not fuckibg Roy Keane, again.

I bet it'll be John sodding Terry. I've had a nice few days supporting Villa, bound to be something on its way to piss me off.

Welcome Unai Emery...

I am getting very excited after reading and watching so many positive things about him both as a manager and a person.

I think Balague's point about giving him time is an important one for us all to remember over the coming months.

Stuart Pearce on talksport doesn't seem to think it's a good appointment. He seems to think we should have given Sean Dyche a chance because Eddie Howe has done well at Newcastle. I'm not entirely sure how that is remotely relevent.

These dinosaurs are a sight to behold.

Stuart strikes me a the type who likes managers who shouts 'COME ON' while shaking a clenched fist when their team playing poorly. Shouts ' COME ON' if their team is losing at half time. Shouts ' COME ON' when sending on subs to change a game that their team is losing; And 'COME ON ' shaking the aforementioned fist with 2 minutes to go to save the match they're losing; and shouts 'COME ON' with shaky fist when entering the dressing room as a player moral booster for the next up and coming match after they've been thrashed. Limited technically when it comes to footy coaching, punditry, and seemingly when it comes to type of managers preferred.

I was thinking David Silva but he’s not won the CL as far as I can see

Im sitting here drinking a Madri in celebration of our new manager and i must admit Terry crossed my mind. Its probably just a lack of imagination and memory on my part, about who has played in the premier league, won the champions league and knows Emery.

I wasn't aware of that criterion. Phew.

Can't be Lambert, surely not.

Terry would be typical Purslow

I was more hoping he'd come with his long term assistant and backroom team

If you watch the video back he doesn’t  actually say worked with Unai, he says knows….

And yes, looking at the can of Madri it is indeed costa del Burton. Its the thought that counts though hey

Ive got a mate in the brewing industry, he was telling me that Molson Coors saw the success of San Miguel, decided they needed a Spanish Premium beer to compete with it so invented one.

Well he didnt actually say that but hinted that he’d known him well, which id expect to mean worked with him.

Can't think of any really obvious candidates. Champions League winner, knows Unai, and the Premier League. Juan Mata?
