It bothers me that there's just no real width in that team. Way too narrow. Let's hope that Ollie puts his boots on the right feet tonight. He can't afford to miss anymore sitters. Good to see Buendia given a start he's earned the right.Just win this Villa and please please don't stink the place out.

A nice easy 0-3 walk in the park please, Villa.

I'd happily take a professional, relatively stress free 1-0 win.

I didn't realise Grabban and Lolley had left.

Get rid of the slow build up and move the ball quickly and we’ll be 9th by 10 o’clock. 2-0 Villa, Watkins and Ramsey.

Isn’t that Young and Cash’s job with McGinn and Dougie filling in at full back.

Think it'll be more of a 4-3-2-1,
McGinn, Luiz and JJ  in front of  the back 4, with Coutinho and Buendia playing behind of, and in support of Watkins.

Expect to see Ramsey driving forward from midfield with the ball making it a 4-2-3-1 from time to time looking to play 1-2s  and get into the box.

Gerrard's been more cautious recently which is why I think he'll err on the side of playing 3 in front of the back 4.

Supposedly a muscle issue, a minor one. So out until August knowing us.

Which August might that be ;)

No reason if we have a plan to attack and move the ball quickly that this Villa side cannot come away with a victory. But if we persist with a slow, laborious, ponderous approach we will create little or anything at all and it will much the same as usual.

Happy with the team, hopefully the skipper will take his Leeds performance into this match and hopefully Cam gets some game time. I see Lingard only makes the bench.

As long as we don't see Coutinho hugging the left flank and instead allowed to roam around alongside Emi B we'll be fine. I'm expecting Watkins to get a brace and Get Out of Jail Card for the next few months. An early goal and we could really rip into them. Without that early goal we'll have to go Fight Night and bring them down to our level whilst trying to catch them on the break.

0-4 Villa (Watkins 2, Konza and a non-celebrating Matty Cash). FTF
