Felt like we were playing practice vs an U21 side. Few times it felt like we'd burst into life but it just fell flat. I don't even remember Dendoncker being mentioned once he was on. Atmosphere seemed dead in the second half. I actually though Mcginn did ok but against better sides we are in trouble . I think this is just delaying the inevitable as far as Gerrard concerned.

Dendoncker got put into the silly auxilliery full back position that Gerrard seems to have created for our midfielders and looked like he had no idea where he was supposed to be.

A poor team performance.

I didn’t see any signs of a plan, very little pace & imagination and zero goal threat. We needed the win but I’m seeing no improvement in our play or our players.

Good win. We look like a team struggling for form, but we got stuck in, won the midfield and made Southampton look poor. Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought we did well tonight.

It's a win despite the performance and I'm going to enjoy my weekend, knowing we have three points.

Too often lately I have been pissed off with our results, so it's actually nice to win a game for once.

Another player who’s going to be very confused after half a dozen games.

Backwards, sideways, sideways, hold, backwards, hoof…hold, sideways, backwards, sideways, inbound, backwards! Hoof…

This. We need players to take responsibility on the ball. Find space, make something happen, think positive. We have them in the squad but confidence has been lacking.

But 3 points is 3 points. Let's hope it breeds a bit more confidence.

Have been to 2 funerals, yesterday and today, this felt almost like a third one! Well played Tyrone MOTM and 3 points, good news is we won't be in the bottom 3 over the international break.

Just relieved with that win. I'll have a nice WE. Slightly worried about Kamara though. Hope it's not too serious.

Abject. Great 3 points though.

Fluked the last four points imo.

7 points from 7, relegation form. That we're 13th with that return is extremely flattering.

Presumably we won't be 13th after the weekend has finished
