Are they postponing the Horse Racing?

What’s your point?

I also don’t think the Queen would have wanted this. They would have been much better to give football fans the opportunity of singing God save the Queen for the last time. That to me is real respect.

Seems a pretty unanimous view that 'the show should go on'

Postponed! Wrong decision imo.
There would have been nothing disrespectful about football going about its business as usual and fans/players choosing to wear black armbands, singing the NA or engaging in a minute's silence/applause.

It is in Rugby Union and Rugby League and a myriad of other sports.

Why can't there just be a minute's silence beforehand, as will be the case at theatre performances etc. How is football any different?

I bet even Will was looking forward to having something to take his mind off things for a couple of hours.

Even if you don't like the royals, I think that the way West Ham fans sang GSTQ last night is a far better tribute than cancelling games.

What a load of fucking bollocks. Country on the brink of a recession and they're going to cost the country billions more by cancelling a load of stuff that really doesn't need cancelling. 'As a mark of respect' my arse. What's disrepsctful about the country going about its business. Just about every shop and other business is still open.

Totally agree. Fucking ridiculous decision.

Lousy decision, football brings together the nation like no other sport/pastime. Apart from maybe pubs which I'm sure will be still open.

I have heard its just this weekend (Fri to Mon games) and then everything else will be on, other than games on funeral day.

Entirely predictable but still immensely frustrating that thousands of people will be out of pocket and had plans ruined because we live in a country where the head of state must be worshipped.

Even worse is the way in which the pandering morons are spouting their "ITZ ABOUT RESPEKT FOR R QUEEN"
