Is he the worst signing since Jermaine Jenas (insert any of the many other names)?

Give him a chance. Give him a ball and a yard of grass, he'll give you a move with a perfect pass.

The only positive anybody has managed to come up with is 'hes big'. It was an absolute naff signing.

Whatever you think of him as a player, it is ludicrous to say he’s a rubbish signing. He might turn out to be terrible, he might turn out to be amazing, he might turn out to be somewhere in between.

It’s not like there isn’t already a body of work to judge him by.
If you think he is going to evolve from a Wolves clogger who could not get into their team, (that are that shit they are even below us ) into Pele then fine.

An uninspiring signing, but a bit unfair to say it's an awful one.

He's done nothing of note, but then again, he's barely featured.

Does he offer anything that Tim or Marv or Sanson wouldn't have?

Physicality and "profile" as Gerrard puts it.

He got in their team all the time up until recently didn’t he?

He's a poor signing in that we seemed to have more pressing problems than signing another bench warmer for upwards of £30+ million when all's taken account for. It's signings like that that drain the resources of the club whilst adding very very little and we end up with poor value for money and wondering how we have such a high wage bill when so many are contributing so little.

We have signed him from another PL team. He was or may be still is Belgian international. How long does he needs to "turn out"? So far on any outings he has been absolutely awful.

I don't think he's been awful, but then my definition of awful is at Danny Drinkwater level so it's a very low bar.

But it does feel a bit Habib Beye. These kind of signings when the sun is shining ultimately leads to us having to sell someone useful further down the line to balance the books.
