Strange one that could turn out to be the signing of the summer. Sometimes a team just miss one player to bring the balance, no way would I trust a Dingle to judge a player. All this PL stuff is still new to them.

If (and this is a massive if) Gerrard deploys him correctly he can help eradicate the huge gaps our full backs leave when they bomb forward. He could be really key.

One could argue Gerrard has set up by having a Dendonker type player without having Dendonker.  The gap between Kamara and the defenders to the attackers was huge last week which West Ham took full advantage of.  If he can plug that then its a start.

If he can tackle and is physical and is played in a holding 2 he will be useful

Well he can absolutely do all those things, and more.

I think he should play tomorrow. I know the argument is normally that this close to a game a player hasn’t had a chance to learn the system or train much with his teammates. But since we tend to look like we don’t have a plan and most of the players operate completely independently of one another it shouldn’t make much difference.

Not just that, there's only a small window before they smash any confidence out of him and bring him down to their level. Play him immediately before that happens.

Looks like he’ll miss the Citeh game - got a “throat issue”.

Typical Villa. Sign someone who then can’t play

Yes, because of course leg amputation is the only sufficient reason for potentially missing a game.

The one miniscule bright spot about tommorrow was seeing a new player and even potentially a new formation.

Looks like I'll have even more to drink pre-match.

You don't want to be doing that with tonsillitis. Agony.

:)

I've never been to Wolverhampton but I trust the good people of H&V.

I've been a few times. Wulfran Hall mainly, and a couple of pre season games at Molineux.

It wasn't very nice.

They're a much better team than we are though, unfortunately.

Nothing a good manager won't fix.
