I'm fascinated to hear how Gerrard excuses this one.

Our worst PL start since 1997 apparently. I would have thought 15-16 would have been up there but obviously not.

Their second is all down to Cash again and again jumping around like ten meters away from "his man" his got this habit for a long time now IMO- but doesnt matter much as the team as such isnt good enough right now IMO

Agreed. No idea how anyone can blame the keeper.

Erm how about the idea that he fumbled the first one and flapped at the 2nd?

He had a ball pinged off his shin for the first, and the second he had to get back over to his far post and try and stop a full volley.

give me a break.

They tried but way short I’m afraid. I hate saying a manager should go and I’m sure Gerrard is giving his all but it’s not good enough. We either keep him and pull out 2/3 wonder signings or he goes. We haven’t got time to give him time due to the start we’ve had so unless there’s some amazing news tomorrow then this should be it for him.

It didn't ping of his shin, he patted it out with both hands.

Gerrard is undoubtedly making some major mistakes here and the recruiting looks well short but some of these players need calling out too. Watkins, Cash, Digne, Ramsey, McGinn all well short but above all Martinez. Fuck me.

We were shown up for what we are, disjointed, clueless going forward and chasing shadows all game. The owners have to act, the look on Gerards face after they scored their second said it all. Mings tried hard all game but yet again the midfield was totally dominated. Where do we go from here?

I have sympathy with the away fans. Imagine watching that tonight - utter shite, you score, you can't celebrate it because you think VARS gonna chalk it off and then literally three minutes later we are behind again. And now its a long journey home. My hat goes off to them.
