I bet even back then there was a chariot team, once the finest in the Empire and the envy of all others, that was constantly tripping themselves up, spunking aureus up the wall and still using square wheels when everyone else was using round ones.

Arsenal are the sort of team we may do better against. Hopefully we find a way to win, we have to pick up points sooner or later surely.

They basically got everyone else to do everything, war, food etc. whilst sitting on their fat arses or fucking their sisters. It's amazing they got away with it as long as they did.

Harsh on Arsenal fans.

Is it though? Is it really?

Journey started. Can't see anything but an Arsenal win. Maybe Gerrard will show what a master tactician he is tonight

you look at ben white and think he doesn't look like a physical centre half maybe Watkins can rough him up and cause them a few problems. Arsenal are traditionally soft lads in midfield but with Party and Xaka they seem to have some presence these days. If we can stay in the game as long as possible without them scoring and get physical with them we could get something I don't think we have a bad record here. We are going to have to be very ugly tonight. That's if the players are still playing for Gerrard. If they're not its going to be a massacre.

Surely he cannot pick McGinn again tonight...captain (joke appointment or not) on nothing but form he has to be left out

For the love of McGrath make it so

Martinez

Cash
Chambers
Mings
Digne

Luiz (or Nakamba if Luiz is actually off)
Kamara

Bailey
Bendiua
Ramsay

Watkins

Fully expecting Saka to win a penalty tonight. He could give Joe Grealish and Patrick Bamford diving lessons.

That would be my team too. 4231. Watkins or Ings, not both. Buendia or Coutinho, not both. Need Bailey for his pace on the break. Chambers over Konsa. Play Kamara & Luiz at the base of the midfield and give Ramsey half a chance of getting forward.

And please, for the love of god, no central midfielders as auxiliary fullbacks.

It is the hill he will die on. Of course McGinn will be in the side. HIS CAPTAIN

Damage limitation for me tonight. A means to an end.

we are going to lose. The team for the most part and the system will be the same. We will have 30% possession. The players will be the ones at fault.

McGinn is useful to run around and kick a few Arsenal players, at least for 60 minutes. Not sure Luiz has the same impact. Marvelous could certainly do the job. Ideal replacement would be our French friend, very tidy with the ball which will help.
Ramsey is so off the pace right now yet SG has insisted on playing him in the hope he regains his form.
Bailey I understand starting him but he needs to put a shift in both attacking and defending.
Watkins will run around a lot. More than that I guess it depends on the service and even then generally needs a handful of chances to put one away.
I don't think Mings will start. A few days back, SG will have him on the bench, back for Man City. Expect Konsa to start.

Wearing a black kit seems apt.

The Princess deserves 2!
Wonderful lady.
And also with Willian a Villa man and that he's the president of the FA could be something
