When I was a kid the first Villa shirt I owned was when we were sponsored by AST Computers. I put that together with Arsenal-Arsene and just assumed that every club had some sort of association like that.

Me too, and it was reinforced by Newcastle Brown Ale sponsoring Newcastle.

The Arsepocolypse. Who will be the Four Arsemen of The Arsepocolypse?

They do have a lot of arse-ociations, don't they?

ARSEne Wenger, Andriy ARSE-shavin, Cesc FabregARSE, Mikel ARSEteta, Philipe SenderARSE, Marc OvermARSE.

Nigel Winterbuns

Other pun-ers need not apply.  This wins.

Norwich had Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, West Brom had West Bromwich Building Society. There must be more.

I don't suppose Cambridge under John Beck were sponsored by the Duxford RAF base?

Nah, think it was Gonville and Caius brand port hampers. (Apologies if you're a Keys man, Monty.)

John de Wolf at the Wolves in the mid 90s. Mancini at ManCity. And the current Hartlepool manager is a perfect match for them

In fact speaking of the 90s, I was a mascot for the Us one night when they got present with the prize for the country's best football ground chip butties. Can confirm, top butties.
