Quite happy that Partey isn't playing for several reasons. Put a marker on Odegaard and I think we can get something

If i tune in an hour before and see McGinns name on the starting sheet..........i will turn the fucking TV off and get my Gerrard voodoo doll out

He simply cannot watch each week that level of ineptness and not do something about it

Can't see past a comfortable win for Arsenal where they never really have to get out of second gear.

Before the weekend I really thought we’d turn it around and we was going to beat West Ham comfortably so I’m not expecting us to do so away to an in-form Arsenal side.

It wasn't just you, Ian. Some handsome idiot on the pre-match thread predicted a 4-1 win.

I had Ollie to score a brace and a 3-0 win.

For years I’ve always been an eternal optimist but it feels all so downbeat during our games which fuel all the negative comments floating around social media.

He’s really made a massive mess with the captaincy and with the Mings situation and probably lost a lot of goodwill with a lot of the fans with how that was handled. He has with me.  I don’t think he realised how popular Mings is. He’s is not perfect and we know he makes the odd mistake but he’s been such a big part and inspirational player for Villa both on and off the pitch. Something just feels very off at the moment.

How many points have we taken off the ‘big 6’ since the current manager joined?

I must be a special kind of stupid

When the fixture list first came out I looked at this game and because of our previous four games and my optimistic nature I thought we would be troubling the top four spots going into it,  Maybe even if we got off to a good start 4 out of 4 wins

Ha ha, now I’d just be happy to avoid a total apocalypse night

A few weeks ago I just thought all we needed was a solid pre-season with some good natured bonding and a tactical plan drilled from July and we’d be top half challenging anyone we played.

How it fell away all so quickly. The word deflated needs to be changed in the Oxford Dictionary to ‘a supporter of a football team’.

When I was a kid the first Villa shirt I owned was when we were sponsored by AST Computers. I put that together with Arsenal-Arsene and just assumed that every club had some sort of association like that.
