Out thought by Moyes. A sobering thought.

Not particularly, Moyes is a decent manager and has far more nous than Gerrard. It was also his 6th win in a row against Villa, I think.

Moyes is the 2022 version of our Martin O’Neill

Stubborn, inflexible football. Same team, same shape

At least it works

2) Last 30 seconds, what the fuck was Kamara doing fucking about holding on to the ball instead of just launching it into the area?

Kamara was like this all game, though he battled hard and made one great tactical foul when ham were through but in possession he kept slowing the tempo down taking extra touches instead of zipping it forward. Plays like he's still in the French league. At Villa Park we need to play faster first time passes into the players who can make stuff happen.

But at least he changed things at half time which won them the game. When was the last time Gerrard did that?

I thought Kamara was decent, broke up play well. Gave the ball to the creative players who did fuck all with it.

It's the witterings of a man who knows the fat lady is clearing her throat. Dean Smith was coming out with a load of bollocks by the time his time was up, and now Gerrard's doing the same.
Have you turned mate?

he was proactive, Gerard was reactive.
The game was there to be won, but he thought it was a good idea to play with 10 men.

Smith used to get plenty of stick for his limitations when it came to changing in-game but Gerrard is worse.

Aston Villa points fairies strikes again. I might get a better more satisfying hobby. Like licking jellyfish or juggling with live grenades.

WHU came for the Steve Bruce point and we didn't lay a glove on them. It's embarrassing.

Gerrard needs to go now, but I would go caretaker through the next couple of tough games so a new manager doesn't get burdened with immediate loses.

I am also still at a loss to understand exactly what Gerrard does other than talk. He doesn't coach, he doesn't do tactics, he doesn't motivate players, he doesn't do subs, he is the epitome of a figure-head. I have to laugh how he says he's looking for a reaction in the next game...Steven boy this is the third game out of four where you've been looking for a reaction. I'm looking for a reaction too...from the owners.

I've coached my daughters teams for 8 years and I have a blue peter badge which should make me infinitely more qualified than the incumbent :)
