Getting repetitive isn’t it. Perhaps it’s the manager? So bad a defending set pieces

Gerrard is holding us back, we should be better than this.

Anyone name a player who's improved since Gerrard came in?

We are Frankenstein's monster.  Lots of, seemingly good players purchased, but stick em all together...........

I hope we change it, I hope we are settling in to the new season but, I just don't see it at the moment.  Slow, ponderous and our midfield needs strength and guile.

His system doesn't work, he won't change it so he'll go eventually. It's pretty obvious now.

Rubbish really. Got the perfect start but as ever, we struggle with a physical, quick side. The midfield has been trampled and Konsa has been awful. What happened the the Rolls Royce of two years ago?

Relieved to be level at half time but it is hard to see much changing.

Terrible first half, can't see us getting a draw or win, expect a lot better second half, but I thought the same about the Bournemouth game

I agree. It just feels inevitable.

I can see Chambers coming on for Konsa to start the second half. We will be bringing in another CB this week. Nailed on.

We seem to have no shape or identity other than something resembling a jelly.

I don’t care what’s meta or hip at this point.. the 4-3-3 has got to go.

We are so easy to play against. 1 tactic MON style without the results.

Gerrard looks like a coach from 20 years ago. Zero tactical acumen

But gets away with it on the back of his stellar playing career.

That offside corner, Palace were first to the first and second balls, then got the shot off with nobody anywhere close. Fucking diabolical defending.

Bit concerned that Gerard is making Ramsey not progress

He's trying to play him back to form and it's not happening.

I think peak Viera would struggle in this set up though

Not too sure what we expect, same players playing the same confusing system will lead to the same results.

I would like to have seen Tim I on for McGinn, but as he's not even in the squad bring Nakamba on instead and get a grip on the midfield.
