Looks like Steve has felt the mood on the terrace

Or maybe picked a team on form and who he thinks can beat Palace?

Indeed, mind you if he has heard some of the nonsense spouted on the terrace who could blame him for becoming "terse" or "spiky".

Would prefer Chambers over Konsa and not convinced our midfield is right.
I thought he might bring Luiz in for Ramsey today for a bit more protection. But looks like we’re going for them and maybe Luiz hasnt signed a contract yet.

Swap konsa for Chambers and that's the line up I would have picked. Our bench looks great too. Time to turn up lads

Same for me with perhaps Luiz/Sansom for Ramsey?

Same here but very much minor quibbles rather than "what's he playing at?"

Have to get at their full backs as they are weak links.

Interesting selection. He's not afraid to make changes which is good.
Only taken him about 3 centuries.

I'd have gone Chambers rather than Konsa but a brave side by Gerrard and sticking his mates on the bench, fair play to him.

It is always worrying when the manager picks a team that most on this forum agree with. I am going to go and hide.

But that team should have pace going forward.  Could be a good game.

Ings deserved to keep the jersey after his goal last week. His Villa career has been stop start.

It's a good team. Over to the players to perform today.
