Three more minutes and Everton would have equalised. We just couldn't cope with their route ones. Rondon winning it in the air and that new chap of theirs gobbling-up the second ball. Lampard will be kicking himself that he didn't go more direct earlier.

I shit enough bricks in time added on to build an extension to my home. Thank fuck we won. We needed it. We are in need of a quality CM and a much more mobile and clinical forward. Cracking goal by Ings but he doesn’t have 90 minutes in him to be a proper threat. And Ollie with 2 assists but as we all saw in the box he’s not going to take us to where we want to go.

Next game I’d drop Watkins, McGinn and Phil.
Bring in Archer, Sanson and Buendia.

I thought that Watkins worked his nuts off and made 2 goals. We must be a good team if we can drop a player after that statistic. I agree about the other 2 changes, Buendia has to start. I thought that Ramsey and Kamara were outstanding and Mings performed exactly as I thought he would. We'll need a different formation next week, Palace won't be as poor as Everton and we'll need to be more incisive.

You'd drop the guy with two assists today?

Something to build on. Onwards.

Watkins with two assists and Ings with a goal!

Kamara, Ramsey and Buendia give us energy in the centre of the park.

SJM gives us plenty of endeavor too, but we need a Neves-type to tie it all together. Someone a bit cuter in possession.

I'm glad Chambers plays for us, goes efficiently about his job when needed. I never get the sense he's going to let us down.  Did well again today
Fab squad player.

I thought, particular in first half we looked like conceding at every corner. Panic stations in defence,
Phil should not start, come on with fresh legs with 15 to go
Calls for McGinn not to start , Ehmm he is the captain.
Ings is a Pro who scores goals, Watkins 1st touch let him down again today.
3 points but not convincing, need a couple my quality additions.

Good win.

Buendia has to play.
Countinho still looks unfit
Kamara is classy.
Mings fully committed.
Watkins great team play; awful in front of goal.
Ings does what he does. Good goal.

Great to get the first win, Buendia MOM has to start next week, superb strike from Ings, on his day he's a quality striker, but haven't seen it enough so far in his Villa career, let's hope that changes this season.

Ings best game so far, Buendia has to start and why cannot we defend corners? THREE POINTS.
