Aston Villa is pleased to welcome Duelbits as our Official European Betting Partner for the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Launched in 2020, Duelbits is a crypto casino and sportsbook with an ambition to become a niche global brand, offering users better rewards and an easy-to-use product.

The agreement will see Duelbits branding on pitch-side LED boards during domestic games at the historic Villa Park, garnering major exposure for the brand.

Nicola Ibbetson, Chief Commercial Officer at Aston Villa said: “We are pleased to welcome Duelbits to our family of Partners.

“It was clear from our first conversations that their ambition to challenge and to grow matches our own. We look forward to working together this season.”

Marco Pinnisi, Chief Marketing Officer at Duelbits said: “Duelbits is made by individuals passionate about sports and casino games. We launched our sportsbook in late December 2021 with the product being completely developed in-house by a team of leading industry experts.

“The deeply immersive and intuitive product is made for both new as well as experienced sportsbook players. Duelbits aims to continually develop a strong sportsbook that can be compared to leading bookmakers in the market.

“We felt it was the right time to give the brand the visibility it deserved and we couldn’t see a better way than sponsoring one of the most well-known Premier League clubs. This partnership underlines Duelbits’ desire to work with the most prestigious sports brands.

“Whilst we are a young brand, we wanted to be associated with a historical club, creating a great mixture between heritage and new generation sportsbook. We are extremely excited and honoured to support such a legendary club, and we are sure this great mixture will be particularly engaging for our users and Aston Villa fans.”

Duelbits.com is a crypto casino and sportsbook aiming to bring users the most rewarding gambling experience. Founded in 2020 and despite the COVID 19 crisis, Duelbits has grown into a well-known casino brand, particularly within the crypto niche. Duelbits’ ambition is to become a niche global brand, offering users better rewards and an easy-to-use product, all accompanied by the crypto element, allowing users fast and secure payments.

Football clubs chase revenue not morality - fuck me Arsenal have "Visit Rwanada" on their shirts, a country internationally recognised as committing genocide in its recent past.

Is it any less immoral than buying Nike / Under Armour et al sports clothes made in sweatshops by children?

I strongly suspect that the only real reason for combining crypto and online gaming is money laundering.

We went from Acorns to FX Pro - currency speculation - at a time we were owned by a man whose family made a ton of money through aggressive lending. We're now owned by someone who made a fortune through subprime mortgages, and were previously owned by a shyster currently doing time in the big house on the hill in China.

There's always something to not like if you look hard enough.

Also, these bozos are a minor betting partner, they're not shirt sponsors.

Maybe I'm a bit hard nosed, but I struggle to get too worked up over this sort of stuff.

I'm sure most clubs in the PL have some form of link up with a gambling company.  It's easy money.

I don't really see them not being available in the UK as a problem, arguably it's a plus point.  The whole crypto thing is beyond me, but people who want to will always find a home to gamble their money and I'm not sure one is much worse than any other.

Ultimately I want Villa to be successful and compete with the elite.  That means we will always have to make business decisions that not all of us will like.  I don't bet or like betting companies, but they're all over sport and that's not going to change in the short term.  I can live with it.

Fair enough that last point. We're not going to change it immediately, however much we disagree with it. I tend to get worked up by these things primarily because I'm a grumpy old man. I struggle to deal with gambling links, find crypto as bad and then - the crowning glory - the marketing speak about being excited working together, etc. (Is there a vomit emoji here?)

Sportsbook ?.... I thought a Sportsbook was something like The Argus Annual.
Supporting a legendary club ?...Yes we are legendary, but your not supporting us you're just giving us some money. We do the supporting.
Engaging ?...We don't want to be engaged to you, just fuck right off.

As I said before, with how the club operates this should come as no surprise any more.

Companies preying on the vulnerable, trying to hook them on gambling.

If only those early Randy Lerner days could return when we had compassion and welcomed the local community to Villa Park at discounted rates,we had very good ticket prices, free coaches put on for supporters to away games and a local children's hospice on the front of our shirts. We really have gone backwards and it's heartbreaking to see

Is this confirmed as being true?

And if so for what... crime against fashion?

I read somewhere that Dr Tony's cardboard belt was made of compressed cannabis leaves.  Cannot possibly be true.  The soles of his elevator trainers maybe.
