New Betting Partners

Massive own goal by the club if you ask me.

Hate the idea of clubs hopping into bed with betting companies.  Come on Villa, your better than this.

This isn't just a 'betting partner'. It's a 'crypto casino' whatever the fuck that means. Shady, is what it sounds like.

From a quick Google

"You can play Duelbits in Canada, Brazil, Germany, and Mexico. If you're in a country that doesn't have access to the platform, such as the US, or the UK, you'll need to use a VPN to connect to a server in a country where it's available."

Can't help thinking this isn't a great look for Villa.

Christ! The CIA took over the Pokerstars website in the IOM and arrested a load of people for that sort of stuff.

Gambling shirt sponsors have never really been about the UK market (bet365 a bit different).

They have always been about Asian markets above all.

The only jurisdiction that issues licences for crypto gambling is Curacao, which doesn’t really inspire confidence.

Whilst I don’t have a problem with gambling sponsors (but I accept I am biased), I feel uncomfortable for Villa to be suggesting fans use a vpn to gamble with these people.

I should point out that what I posted wasn't from Villa. It was from a Google search and was in the 'people also ask' section on Google and that was the answer to the question "How do you play Duelbits UK?".

Although i'm guessing a number of Villa fans will be seeing that when they Google our new partner.

Has anyone ever tried to organise a numbers protest (e.g. digital petition) against this kind of thing? Difficult because you might get some idiots signing as Micky Mouse etc. Maybe a joint message from as many fan groups as possible, if that could be agreed? I may be a little bit naive thinking it would make any difference, but it might get some press coverage... who knows.

It's the absolute pits.
