So aside from dropping on field leader Mings, Konsa having a stinker, McGinn looking like an ineffective Houghton every game, our best 2 attacking options in terms of chnaces and goals are left on the sidelines, an unbalanced midfield and an experienced international not knowing how to dress correctly for the match, a manager who has no new Plan A let alone B and we were playing a distinctly ordinary side v a club about an 1/8th our size we need to remain positivr

We did do that once and still couldn't win. There was the rare sight of a Villa goal for Carlton Cole though.

We did. I was confusing it with the Bolton 2-2. The O'Leary years blurred into one.

Where do you start with today..
Couthino has had one good season in the whole of his career and is lauded by no one outside of anyone having  a Liverpool connection . He is Gerrards mate, was abysmal AGAIN today. Buendia is far superior

Mings may have mistake in him but is our most consistent defender and doesn't stop talking, organising,  all game. Gerrad strips him of the captaincy so he concentrate on his football....then drops him

Mcginn should not be a captain or regular in our team , another woeful performance from him today. He should be concentrating on his football
Ings has scored goals at every club except villa..why is that? He's only 30 and his legs haven't gone
As for Gerrard  he is the  supposed upgrade on Dean who looks tactically as good as Sherwood.....and Pochettino is without a club

Apologies for rant. I'm just fed up after sitting through that 90 mins

That was 11 strangers having a pre season friendly.

Utterly pathetic.

Gerrard is the one who has no excuses; let alone him throwing that line around to the players.

I sussed Gerrard early on. But even I thought we would be too much for Bournemouth.
Today was the full unveiling of the emperor’s new clothes in all it’s naked glory.

I would imagine Purslow might be having some uncomfortable conversations with the owners

In truth, my gut was telling me this exactly how it would pan out today.

We are not going to improve playing this system, it's flawed. It's not just flawed, it's wank.

And so he should. Huge spend and as of yet, no improvement.

We’re a point behind Liverpool. Everyone relax.

Still unbeaten at home, too.

And only one away defeat all season, it's impressive stuff.
