It’s all smoke and mirrors our net spend is shit again.

Not spending enough is not something you can level at our owners. We have a far better squad than this lot but we lack character and bravery as usual.

A big slice of humble pie for Gerrard to eat with his half time cup of tea would be appropriate.

Prediction - subs will improve us, Gerrard will say it's given him a lot to think about, next week same team.

What's really weird here is that when we're on the ball we create a massive gap in the centre of the park.

What is it about us that makes us so inconsistent?

Ineffectual players and tactics, I think.

I think we need to be 4-2-3-1 with McGinn not in the first XI. This 4-3-3 with very meat-and-two-veg tactics doesn't work.

Well we seemed to improve in the second half of the friendlies and we need to do the same today.

Three offsides in half an hour is criminal.

Ings doesn’t have the lung capacity to play this chase the long ball style. I fucking hate the chase the long ball style.
