Back in the saddle again, fellow Villans!

Wonder how John McGinn will play after being given the captaincy: hope he'll be more positive and score more goals this season.

2-1 us. I don't care who scores!

Would've preferred to see Buendia starting instead of Coutinho.
Same. Coutinho in hindering Buendia’s impact without merit.

That’s just nonsense.

I think I'd have had KKH in for Young, and Sanson in for Chambers. We don't need two central defenders on the bench, and Sanson is the only other midfielder with any drive if we need it.

I think as this season goes along we will see Young phased out out for KKH and some of the other younger players coming into the fold. With 5 subs there are more chances to bring players on and rotate the line up. Game 1, having a bit more experience isn’t the worst thing. Sanson is the concern as he did well in pre season and you’d think he’d be on the bench at minimum. Chambers though offers extra positional flexibility

I would also like to see the kids earn their place in the side rather than being given it. They need to impress when they get their opportunities.

I suspect he wants Carlos at LCB. But also Mings has had a knock this week and may not be q00%.  I need to risk him.

I like that side. No excuses.

It would be interesting to know who the 2 are who travelled with the squad in case something happened to someone during the warm-up.

Tim Iroegbunam is definitely 1 reported by the press

You think Mitrovic wants to sit on our bench?

He'd get the chance to fight Ings to the death.
