McGinn, Ramsay, Coutinho off; Buendia on. Pretty sure we'd still look better.

Fuck me this is dire!

Dire is the guy we all turn our noses up at but he's scored for Spurs today and he speaks 3 different languages which helps all his wonderful teammates settle!

Martinez has to play.  He is our best forward player and the only one who seems to be able to break extremely limited teams like this down.

Hmmkay.

I'm desperate for Gerrard to succeed.

This has been pitiful.

Who's the co-commentator? I recognise the voice but can't place it.

Does anyone spend more time on his arse with his hand in the air than John McGinn?

Coutinho has been absolutely shite.

As I've said before, if SG insists on playing him, play him in the home games as he's a waste of a shirt away from home.

One of those halves where we looked like we've downed 10 pints down Boscombe the night before.

Average crosses and set pieces, poor shots. Going to need to switch it quickly rather than waiting until 75th minute otherwise we'll be 2 down and yet another awful opening day result to newly promoted team.

It's a bit radical but I'm not against giving it a go.

some of you seem more keen for Gerrard to fail than for villa to succeed.

That’s nonsense. People want Villa to succeed and by extension the manager must have been successful. Nobody wants Gerrard to fail.

Hate comments like this, absolutely no Villa fan wants Gerrard to fail because it means we'll be shit. And no Villa fan wants us to be shit.

I think he's in over his head, but I'd absolutely love to be wrong.

A depressing first half that looks a lot last the last 10 games from last season.

Might leave us a bit exposed at the back but it’d certainly confuse Bournemouth - why not!
