I was up the Green Duck the other night before going to the Seven Stars. Nice stuff all around.

I think we've had a pre match pint in the Bartons for the last 4/5 years I'd say but have given up because of the waiting times to get served.
Recently we've just been turning up at the ground and drank a couple of pints of Purity at £5 a pop.
Bartons food is very impressive though.

They serve anything in any glass when busy, some may say understandable but i cant get on with it.

The service is dreadful.

But I do enjoy it there and the food is amazing
Where?

If you mean the Barton's, it's the classic victim of its own success but they don't help themselves by simply not being geared up to be a football pub.

Not if you hit them before getting the train to town!

Now if the thread was Drinking by Stourbridge Junction you'd have a case.

The one and only thing that the B-Lose have in their sad existence is a number of decent boozers in Digbeth, within walking distance of the swamp and not paid entry.

I used to drink in Digbeth regularly 20 odd years ago, particularly after home and away games and you'd rarely see a 'Nose.

I popped into the Kerryman before a gig at the Institute pre pandemic and was horrified to see references to the Rags about the place. I repeated that visit in May and am pleased to report that said references had vanished.

I was once verbally abused for us taking over "their train" to go from Stour to their shithole. They are odd fish.

Haven't lived in Brum for a long time now,  but when I did the Yenton in Erdington was always rammed with Villa Fans. A quick five minute walk to Chester Road train station and you could be in Aston ten minutes later if you timed it right
