Hopefully Ings falls in to the deepest puddle on the pitch as it might be the only way Gerrard fucks off the two up front and over run in midfield rubbish that is now the norm.

We're just so fucking slow. Every time we have the ball, they've got all the time they need to get people back and just shut us down completely.

Our movement is non existent. And inevitably it always ends with a long punt across the pitch or down the flanks which is easily dealt with. We are slow, ponderous and predictable.

I may be being controversial here, but I’m not sure Ings and Watkins works as a front pair.

I thought we'd be better after Gerrard had a pre-season with his squad

There will be hell to pay if any of the players (from either team) get injured.
Really? When has that ever happened. It’s not a friendly in the normal sense. It may not be competitive but both clubs are chasing money .

I just don’t understand how Buendia doesn’t get into this side for one of the forwards.

Sort it out. Absolutely shocking. What does John McGinn offer us? This guy has been coasting along for a few years now. I know it's a friendly and shocking conditions, the players are watching themselves for injury and holding back a bit, but they need to show something in the second half.

The great thing about pre-season friendly's, is you get to try new things and don't have to rely on the stuff that didn't work great before.
