I know its a pre season friendly but all the problems Gerrard's team had last season are still there.
We are just giving Manure a nice passive ore season run out.

Calm down everyone. It’s a friendly. The fact we have been shit with no plan, cohesion, or quality doesn’t matter

The pitch and the weather is the same for both teams. They've dealt with it, we haven't. Our formation and standard of play has been as shit as the weather.

Our entire tactics circles around our full backs getting forward and getting in crosses. It makes it so easy for them to counter. The midfield is having zero impact.
And this is the prime concern, a hang-over from last season: being wedded to one style of play is not only anachronistic given the type of 'total football' that is expected of players today; it is also dead easy for opponents to deal with. Reliance on fullbacks attacking also means our strikers are wholly dependent on the fullbacks being able to get up the pitch.
The number of strikers on the team is irrelevant if the key attacking players are not able to deliver.

Ridiculous mistakes at the back and can't score ...same problems as last season .

Nothing has changed or will. This team isn't good enough and the manager don't seem to change it it

The fact that this match is going ahead for a friendly is fucking ridiculous. There will be hell to pay if any of the players (from either team) get injured.
You are more likely to get injured on a bone hard pitch that a waterlogged one.

Digne very poor for their second
Made one run forward and put a shite ball in - Looked absolutely fucked. Wasn't marking Sancho for their first and at fault in build up to the second. Needs to wake up.

Not sure what the game plan was for that half, or even if there was one? It was shit.

We're just so fucking slow. Every time we have the ball, they've got all the time they need to get people back and just shut us down completely.
