A few nice bits of play but on the whole we are too sloppy. Probably to be expected this early in the preseason.

We’ve got to get Bailey involved more. He can fly.

Kamara looks good. He can certainly ping a ball and seems to actually want to play DM.

Ramsey seems to be playing deeper or wider? Can't seem to tell.

Luiz is the weak link for me. He's by no means a bad player-but where is his best position??

I imagine both sides are glad to get to half time without any serious injuries, the ref hasn't a clue. Kamara looks the real deal, Bailey has impressed, the less said about Ollie, overall a mad first half where we missed two easy chances and a chance to calm the game down.

Good to see that we're prepared to break down Leeds' attacking moves in their half with some judicious "mistimed" tackles - nothing nasty, but sufficient to stop them moving the ball and transitioning into attack.

Last season we were opened up far too easily when we lost the ball just inside the opposition half.

Kamara was by far the best player on the pitch for Villa.

Game is also on hesgoal if people haven't subscribed. No Ian Taylor co commentating, however.

I know it’s a friendly but a few things I’ve noticed today .

Kamara looks very good and every inch the player we’ve been missing. He’s not very big through.

Bailey and Coutinho looked sharp. Cash and Digne are getting forward well as always.

Negatives - Mings looks a bit shaky and is going on late which is a sign that he is too slow into tackles. He does hate Leeds though so it may be deliberate.

JJ looks a bit lost playing a bit wider with Luiz as an 8. Not sure Luiz is dynamic enough for our midfield. Hope I’m wrong.

We are playing very good stuff but there is no real pace in the team apart from Bailey. Leeds do look a lot faster than us.

Patchy but to be expected.  You can already see what kind of team Leeds are going to be this season
