There were people on here justifying The Neil Taylor tackle so some of the comments are not surprising.
If it had been on a young Villa player the reaction would be the opposite.

Yes, they’re exactly the same. And everyone who disagrees with you is biased, obviously.

There was shit all in that tackle, and there's reasons why most teams don't give 16 year old games against other super fit and strong competitive athletes in contact sports.

Fucking Leeds twats. Like a whole club of Karens.

The Neil Taylor challenge was on a different stratosphere in terms of filth. McGinn's was a little naughty in terms of leaving one on an opponent but  he didn't really fly in there (as he can do on occasion).

especially from a football club who supporters thrive on getting stuck in

"Gray’s injury does not seem as serious as it so easily could have been"
Van Persie could have died level of venom in that article.

I didn't think there was much in Gray's tackle on Buendia either, sometimes players are just a split second late and catch their opponent.

Whilst they may not be in the pantheon of some past Leeds sides, there’s no doubt that the current crop  thrive on an aggressive approach with some sh*thouseary thrown in (see Bamford and that lad that did a Rivaldo to try and avoid the second penalty just in this game alone). Their fans love it. They want their team doing it. Villa under Gerrard respond aggressively and the clutching of pearls is laughable. Nobody wants to see a young lad get hurt but in the context of the game at close to an hour, was it really sensible of Ted Laso to bring him on in the first place? And further, which team is setting the tone for that environment -with some help from the officials and the player himself-because a lot of us see Villa most weeks and we know what the norm is.

Face it, if Gray wasn't blubbing like a baby would anybody give a shit? The damage was done before SJM got near him, see the lumps of pitch he dug up before.

The Leeds fan reaction to this has been utter bollocks. McGinn slightly miss times the tackle, nothing more.

The Bamford slash at Carlos was way worse.

I still can't quite get over the attendance and level of support, there were Villa everywhere, I don't know what I was expecting but not over 40k. It was really weird hearing Villa songs sang in an Aussie accent too.

It was a great weekend mate. I got home to NZ very late last night and I am still buzzing. I did not expect that level of support for Villa, there were far more Villa fans than Leeds. I met guys from all over NZ and Australia over the weekend. It was an amazing weekend with the only downside of the weekend being Cam Archer not playing. I was looking forward to seeing him rip Leeds apart.

When we visited Australia 10 years ago we met Villa fans everywhere we went so I wasn’t surprised at how it turned out.

Just watched the game on VillaTV. I still feel the same way about TM as people feel about OW. Both good guys but just lacking what it's needed to take us forward. The casual attitude that puts others in trouble is so infuriating. Chambers seems much more composed but probbly lacks the height/physical presence...

I don't think TM will be a guaranteed starter anymore. Diego Carlos can play left side if Mings is making too many mistakes. If he does, there might be a decision to be made next summer.

The Leeds lad Archie Gray is ok, he's back training and hopeful of playing in their next match on Friday, which is great news.
