Josh Feeney interview on VillaTV. The size this lad is at 17! Comes across as down to earth and excited to be a part of the club.

Christ, size of him! A good couple of inches taller than Diego Carlos. Face of a 12 year old though.

Yeah, I liked how he was interacting with him too, not at all in awe or anything, completely at ease.

I absolutely loathe the bloody site, but I read this earlier in the year and it's got some good interviews with his youth coaches about what he's like. He really does seem like a special prospect with his head screwed on.

Apparently we have signed Ewan Simpson from Heart of Midlothian:

I read an article a while ago saying some of our coaches are quite excited about this lad. Defensive midfielder with good technique who can dictate play. The papers all say he's 16 and that makes sense as I don't think kids can sign their first professional contract until their 16th birthday (the OS says he's still 15 but I'm not sure that's right).

Edit - it's his birthday today.

Nice summary but I'm not sure how Marschall came to the club. He's listed as being of English nationality and seems to have been with us since being a kid.

Polish parents but born in Cambridge. Don't think he has ever been anywhere else but Villa other than a loan spell at Gateshead.

I'm not sure about us listing Raikhy and Chuk Jr on there, both joined us as schoolkids (14 and 12 respectively, I think). They're certainly very different to Smith, Feeney and Chrisene who had already player senior football before they arrived.

Wouldn't disagree with your observation  Paul, I was just making the general point that we seem to be pretty adept at spotting and then bringing in talent from other Academies.
