We will beat Burnley, but it will be harder than the previous week

Finishing below Newcastle would be a bit shit. Considering where they were when Howe took over, barely a week before Gerrard.

I think Norwich and Everton are the only teams we've doubled this season. Burnley were tougher to beat at Spurs on Saturday. Our home frustration to continue in another draw (remember them?!).

We beat Brighton home and away as well.

Based on our performance against Palace 1-0 to Burnley.

They do matter to be fair but Sawaris is so rich he could probably use a £6.5m note to wipe his arse with. Wouldn’t worry too much about that side of things.
That doesn't matter, it's about the revenue.  I thought people had got this by now?

Either way, I'll be pissed off if we don't win.  It's already been a dissapointing season, lets finish it with some respectability.

I remember when SGT left the second time, he said something like that the fun had gone out of the game for him when just going down one place in the league could cost the club 1m quid or so.

Was very impressed with them against Spurs, after the first 20 min onslaught from Spurs, Burnley were more than a match and were unlucky not to get a point. If we play like we did against Palace I think we will lose. 4th game in 12 games, SG needs to make changes, Chambers in for Konsa and would expect Buendia, JJ, Sanson and possibly Bert or one of the youngsters to start.

I would hope to see Beundia (and Coutinhio) and Ramsey in for Ings and Luiz, also Chambers for Konsa.
Id hazard a guess that we’ll never see Sanson play for Villa again and possibly the same for Traore as well.

It's not about the wealth of the owners, and yes £6.5m is pennies to them - it's about the financial fair play rules.  An extra £6.5m in revenue means more money they can pump into the club without falling foul of the rules. And I'm sure they're happy to pump in as much as they're allowed to.  £6.5m isn't a huge amount, even in premier league terms, but it's enough to make a difference to a hypothetical contract we can or can't offer someone.

Sunday is a free hit, so this has to be us going all-out for the win.  I think it will say a lot about Gerrard's ability to motivate the players.  They will definitely be up for it, no question.  Will we?

Sanson? Would love to see it but the guy's been persona non-grata'd.

I'm actually going to this one, so no doubt we'll get spanked. I apologise in advance.
