This is pure garbage.
No shape, urgency or purpose.
A complete waste of talent.

I just don’t understand what the underlying tactics are here.

We’re not setup to counter because he clearly want to play it out of the back. However, we cannot handle their high press and we continue to put Emi in the shit and have him lump it forward. Our press is weak and we can barely keep the ball across the halfway line.

Defense is slow, midfield is getting out run and the forwards become more isolated as Leicester continue to press.

Yes, it's shite and makes no sense to me either

Its fair to say Ashley Young really learned a lot in Italy.

We look completely devoid of the confidence that was very evident for a few games. It’s like the recent defeats and then the battering we took vs Spurs even though we were really excellent in the first half has just sucked every bit of life and joy out of our play.

How do you mean, diving? He was already world-class at that in his first spell with us.

Coutinho, Konsa, and Bailey all need to be hooked. The longer Gerrard sits there and ignores what we can all see, the more culpable he becomes

Yes. He is not making it easy for himself (or for his proponents!). I am very surprised Konsa starts.

We've had 2 weeks to perk-up so what gives?

Every time there has been a break we come back worse

The only positive from that half is that we are not losing

None of us would have swapped our squad for Newcastle in January yet they look absolutely buoyant and confident. Hammering Norwich, even Joelinton scored twice. What the fuck has happened to us?

Hopefully, we have our better half to come?  Famous last words.
