I watched Arsenal earlier. A team we have handled with some ease in the past few seasons and for some great results against. To know how fluid we were against them to this is just a dreadful decline. Compounded by just how fluid they look in their movement and invention. Coutinho has to be wondering what the fuck he’s done to be surrounded by this lot. We look so boring.

Devil's advocate - has he brought anywhere near enough to the party since he signed? Other than a huge legacy reputation. Which remains such.

When the movement is good around him we’ve all seen what he can do. He sees things others don’t. When we can’t string two passes together and constantly give the ball away he ends up dropping deeper and deeper. It happened to Jack too for a while until we found a way to use him properly in the final third. We are wasting this massive opportunity to maximize what he brings.

If we can somehow nick the opening goal then playing on the counter will suit us. If they score first then I'll probably go for a lie down. In the road.

Coutinho, Konsa, and Bailey all need to be hooked. The longer Gerrard sits there and ignores what we can all see, the more culpable he becomes

Little to show for dominance...
Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

Leicester have currently had 69% of the ball and are largely in charge.

They've completed around 90% of their passes while Villa are down at 63%, pointing to a fragmented display so far.

Villa though are forcing their hosts wide a lot - as you can see from the volume of play on the flanks. Perhaps because of this, Leicester have had just one shot.

This is pure garbage.
No shape, urgency or purpose.
A complete waste of talent.

This is a worryingly flat performance from us so far.  We don't look like we have a clue how to play together and the Bailey miss aside (which was a fun up by their centre half, rather than anything we created), I cannot see how we are trying to score a goal.

Bailey looks like a massive waste of money on this evidence.

Does Gerrard honestly think he can buy his way out of this dirge?

Thank god  for the first few wins under SG.   We would be down otherwise.
